The historicity of Jesus Christ has always been subject of intense debate between atheists and believers, scientists and religious people. The issue of the Resurrection of his body is even more hotly debated.
Is it just a mystery of faith or could it have rather been an historical fact, thus leaving some physical traces? As many believe, one trace does exist. It is an extraordinary remnant that even the most sceptical ones regard with interest and respect: the Holy Shroud of Turin. It is supposedly the cloth that would have wrapped the body of Jesus when he was buried. But it is not the only one: more clothes could have reached us straight from that tragic day of two thousand years ago, such as the Sudarium of Oviedo.
Are they the evidence of the historical existence of Jesus, and could they reveal us what really happened in that Sepulchre?
Since the last century, worldwide reputable scholars (Historians, physicists, forensic doctors, art historians, image analysts, etc.) have been carrying out serious analyses and research of elements that could answer these questions.
In this fascinating investigation where Science and Faith meet, we will try to shed light on the mysteries of the Holy Sepulchre.
