Buccia (“peel” in Italian) is a monkey with anthropomorphic characteristics. She goes around the world to explore and discover the local flora and fauna.
Buccia travels by several means of transport, including cycling, hot air balloon, plane, sailboat and so on. During her adventures, she comes across many different animal species learning at each episode something more about their characteristics.
At each episode, the encounter of the little monkey with her “co-star” gives rise to gags and funny situations, where the comic experience comes up from the specific features of each species she meets.
Along all her travels Buccia is accompanied by a feminine narrator, a real travel tutor, which interacts with the little monkey advising, encouraging and spurring her where necessary.
The main task of the narrator is to code the comic experience deepening the factors from which bring about the experience itself.
At the end of each episode Buccia always gets back home from which she left. She goes to the desk and opens her personal diary on which, always supported by the narrator, she draws all the things learned during the trip.
Basically the idea is leading the child to the discovery of the animal world and of the different habitats, at the same time making him having fun through the comic side of characters and situations.
